Independent software studio

We build focused apps.

Cut what you don’t need.

Kerf is an independent software studio — not a single product, and not a game-night brand. We design and ship our own apps across productivity, lifestyle, social, creative, entertainment, and more. Each one is cut to a clear job.

About

What Kerf means

Kerf is an independent software studio. We design, build, and ship our own apps — each focused on a clear job, across more than one category. The studio is the through-line. The products are not copies of each other.

The name comes from woodworking: a kerf is the width of a cut. We treat it as a working standard. Quality over clutter. Trim the interface until it matches the job. Keep what earns its place.

That standard is the brand. Deep Canopy — forest, moss, and cream — is the palette. The Kerf mark is the cream nucleus: a focused core, without the moss paint-splash. Live Core, with the splash, is the Game Pulse app icon — that product’s mark, not the studio logo.

Apps

What’s shipping

Game Pulse is the first Kerf app on this page. More will land here when they are ready to show — different jobs, not copies of this one.

Coming soon

Game Pulse

Local multiplayer companion.

One app in the Kerf lineup: sessions, live standings, friends, and profiles for a night of play. Built for cards, consoles, and table games — not a single sport, and not the definition of Kerf.

More apps in the works

After Game Pulse, Kerf will add more of its own apps — utility, creative, social, and other categories as the studio grows. Names land here when a product has a job. Until then, the page stays honest.

Plans

Where the studio is going

Direction, not a calendar. No invented dates, no fake metrics — just the work in front of Kerf.

Now

Ship Game Pulse

Finish and ship Game Pulse as a local multiplayer companion: lobbies, live standings, friends, and profiles. That is the work in front of the studio.

Next

Grow the catalog

Build more Kerf apps across utility, creative, and social categories. Each one gets its own job. The lineup is not locked to play, and it is not a clone of Game Pulse.

Always

Keep the cut

Stay independent. Stay small enough to care about the grain of each product. Cut what the software does not need.
